This mission might be able to definitively state whether there is water on Mars (it won’t get there until May 2008 so don’t stay up to wait for the news). I did notice a bit of a mistake:
At that site the Phoenix is likely to face temperatures that range from minus 73 degrees Celsius (minus 99 degrees Fahrenheit) to minus 33 C (minus 91 F).
One of the missions to Mars in the past because they forgot to convert units. I hope this is the reporter’s mistake not NASA’s (-33 Celsius is -27 F).
