Both Marc and Amanda link to the announcement that Iraq is number 2 in the failed state index ( look here for the complete list), but then they miss Afghanistan at #8. We can almost count Haiti (#11) and if we went into Iran we could certainly improve on their current ranking of 57.
I see, the current goal of the president is to take over the whole top ten. The US doesn’t just want to be #1, we want to dominate.
On the other end, Scandinavia is terrible (with Norway, Sweden, and Finland taking the bottom 3 spots).
